American Le Mans Series Northeast Grand Prix at Lime Rock Park
I had a fun weekend this past week. I went up to CT to see the Lemans racing at Lime Rock Park. We had VIP access to the Patron Racing tent thanks to my bro. Here are some pics from the races. Let me know what you think!
Blizzard of 2010 (Washington, DC)
This past week we had a pretty intense Winter storm with snow accumulation up to 22”. During the storm, I did my good deed by volunteering to get hospital staff to work via my friend’s four wheel drive vehicle. After the storm I made my way over Ft. Ward park which is a historic landmark from the Civil War. The park is located here. I took some pictures with my 7D of the beautiful landscape. The rest of the photos can be found on my Flickr site. Did you get any cool pic during the storm? Feel free to post them in my comments section!
England HDR’s
This past summer, I took a trip to London with my wife and my new camera, the Canon 5D Mark II. Before leaving, I recently learned about HDRs thanks to Mike Petrucci (@mikepetrucci). HDR is short for High Dynamic Range. HDR is the process of combining multiple exposed images in to one image that represents more accurately the wide range of intensity levels found in real scenes. There are many tutorials online to learn more about the process. Here’s one. With some trial and error I was able to produce some pretty cool images. Check them out.

Rock Band iPhone Shorty Review
I just got Rock Band iPhone and after playing it for a short time I can already tell this game ROCKS! The game-play feels so similar to the real version you find on the XBOX 360. The only difference is the vocals are actually tapped rather than sung. The blue-tooth multiplayer game-play is seamless with instant feedback to see if you are getting bonuses for being in unison. If you are a fan of the Rock Band series this is must buy. It’s kinda pricey but you get a lot of songs to start with and you can also download more through in-app purchases.
First real post on my new site. The URL is now working www.dannyscottlyon.com. Here’s a video I shot awhile back with my Canon 5D. It’s a timelapse and I also added some fake tilt-shift using Magic Bullet.
